Im 5' 9" and 128lbs a second season surfer i just sold my 5' 9" lost and looking at a 6'8" for the New Hampishire swells would that be good for me?

Yes, thats sounds like a good mini gun option for waves up to double over head. You could go shorter by a few inches, but thats your preference. You might want to go for a pin or rounded pin tail.
